Industrial / Maintenance Experienced Required
The Material Coordinator is responsible for supporting maintenance operations through the safe staging, prepping, and tracking of materials and parts for specific maintenance projects. This role ensures maintenance teams have the necessary materials available while maintaining accurate inventory and adhering to safety and operational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Gather, stage, and delivery materials to Millwrights as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records in CMMS/ERP systems
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs in advance of maintenance projects.
- Stage parts, tools, and materials for planned maintenance work
- Assist maintenance technicians in locating and transporting equipment
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and preventative maintenance activities
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and documentation within maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial or maintenance environment (mining, manufacturing, energy, etc.) required
- Knowledge of inventory control and material handling practices
- Familiarity with CMMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems)
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to operate a light vehicle.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment requiring the use of PPE
Physical Demands: To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions:- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
- Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information.
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or lifts
- Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
