Lube Tech
Service mobile equipment, trucks, and other light vehicles, in the field with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lubricate vehicle, change motor oil, install antifreeze.
· Check air pressure in vehicle tires; and levels of fuel, motor oil, transmission, radiator, battery, and other fluids; and add air, oil, water, or other fluids, as required
· Replace lights and other accessories, such as windshield wiper blades or fan belts.
· Perform minor repairs such as adjusting brakes, replacing spark plugs, and changing engine oil and filters
· Rotate, test, and repair or replace tires.
· Grease and lubricate vehicles or specified units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles, using grease guns or spray lubricants.
· Move equipment around, as necessary, to perform the job.
Skills and Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of experience in lubrication, mobile and light duty truck maintenance.
· Must be committed to a safe work environment and adhere to all site policies and procedures
Physical Demands:
To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions:
· Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
· Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information, to management.
· Able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically.
· Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.
