Position Overview:
The Reliability Engineer (RE) is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks affecting plant or business operations. This role provides technical expertise to ensure maximum equipment reliability at minimum life cycle cost. The RE works independently or as part of a team, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes. The RE is responsible for evaluating asset/equipment conditions using invasive and non-invasive practices/technologies to monitor equipment for early signs of deteriorating condition, allowing for early prediction and failure analysis.

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, mechanical, electrical, control and safety systems.
- Develop and refine the asset management plan and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Enhance maintenance efficiency and protect asset longevity at minimal cost.
- Address long-term strategic issues and lead reliability processes.
- Ensure the reliability of existing, new and modified installations.
- Participate in design reviews and approval of new installations for maintainability and reliability.
- Develop solutions to mitigate repetitive failures and enhance plant performance.
- Utilize data analysis techniques, including Statistical Process Control, OEE, reliability modeling, and RCFA.
- Implement predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, lubrication analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, and machine alignment.
- Facilitate root-cause failure analysis and support failure reporting and corrective actions.
- Maintain and optimize Asset Maintenance Plans and PM/PdM schedules.
- Review equipment failures to improve preventive maintenance actions.
- Develop standardization programs for new equipment purchases and spare parts.
- 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering.
- Expertise in maintenance and reliability, material management, planning, scheduling, and CMMS/EAM/ERP optimization.
- Experience identifying single point of failure for fixed plant equipment.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency with office and reliability productivity tools.
- Knowledge of RCM process, failure mode identification, defect analysis, cause and effect analysis, loss elimination, sFMEA, and RCFA decision logic.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Understanding of Asset Management and condition monitoring principles.
- At least one certification in reliability (CMRP, CRL, etc.) and a commitment to continual learning.
- Ability to teach reliability best practices and methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate when appropriate, and maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion.
- Ability to work both indoors an outdoors in all kinds of weather.
- Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information.
- Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
- Able to life up to 25 pounds periodically.
