Maintenance Planner
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Mineral Park Mine. The Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and longevity of mining equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for mining equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
· Work Order Management: Generate and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks and adherence to safety standards.
· Inventory Control: Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to manage spare parts inventory, optimizing stock levels and minimizing downtime.
· Equipment Inspections: Coordinate routine inspections of mining equipment, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
· Data Analysis: Utilize maintenance data to analyze equipment performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements for enhanced reliability.
· Budget Oversight: Assist in the development and management of maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices without compromising quality.
· Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
· Strong understanding of rotating mining equipment such as: mills, crushers, pumps, conveyors etc.
· Experience with maintenance best practices, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
· Proficient in using CMMS and project management tools
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret maintenance data and make informed recommendations.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
· Meticulous organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve maintenance and operational goals.
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
· Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.
